Jonathan Crombie stars as Benjamin Bear in this original Anglo-Canadianco- production that blows the lid off the best-kept secret in the world. The one about teddy bears. We may think they're just cuddly toys for kids, young and old. But when we close our eyes at night or turn our backs in the day, they come alive… and lead secret lives chock full of amazing adventures!

Everyone knows it's their job to comfort us and listen to our worries and woes. But almost no one knows how seriously they take this work and to what lengths they will go to do it right. Especially Benjamin Bear! Ben is a fun-loving adventurer who leaps at the chance to help others no matter how hopeless, hairy or high risk. The trick is to not get caught doing it! That's tough enough but it gets really tricky when he's got his teddy-in-training, Howie, in tow. This brash little bear always acts before he thinks and the next thing Ben knows, they're up to their furry ears in mayhem!

Ben and Howie are part of the lovably chaotic Tanner household where something is always going wrong. It's Ben and Howie's job to help their kids Maxwell and Eliza without them ever knowing and hopefully without breaking too many Teddy Bear rules. Through their madcap adventures we get to know the secret world that supports and enables all teddy bears to do their job. Their community has evolved over time into an extraordinary culture with its own history, rules and customs, mythology, and traditions. This wonderful secret realm lies hidden within our world, and only one bear can take us there.
